Trapping A Leprechaun

Our annual task of trapping a tricky leprechaun is upon us.  This year the stakes are higher since all of Joey's first grade class are also building traps to showcase on Friday. Our progress so far is shown below, lots more to do before Friday to make it look magical but not at all suspicious...

Joey was convinced last night that the leprechauns are on to him and know he is trying to trap them. His proof? He had bad luck all day which included calamities like spilling his milk at lunch and accidentally painting over his bird's beak when painting in the sky during art class.

Never fear, Mommy had a solution! We let Joey bring the four leave clover I bought Jeff years ago to school with him (yes, I paid actual money for a framed four leaf clover). Naughty leprechauns don't stand a chance against the power of a four leaf clover. And it worked, today Joey's luck was back on track and all was right with the world.

Stay tuned for more pics of the finished product and of course check in on Sunday to see if we caught one!
