Joey Runs for Office

Joey has decided to throw his hat in the ring for class president of 1st grade.  He made a poster, wrote a speech and even made cards that say, "vote for Joey" to hand out to his classmates.  Today is the big day when he will make his pitch and I think the class votes tomorrow.  So proud of him for running!

Here is his speech:

I'm Joey Freeland and I want to be class president!

If I am elected president I will work on getting afternoon recess back.  And I will work on getting more field trips for our class.  

I want to be president because I can make a difference.  I am good at listening and I will listen to the class and work hard for you.  

I will ask Ms. Gomes to let us have 4 scouts.  

I am good at somersaults and cartwheels.  I am super flexible.  I will try to get more PE so we can stretch and practice doing cartwheels and somersaults so we can be healthy!  

So vote for Joey!
